News: Report: Apple branden ingenieur die laat dochter film iPhone X video op Apple campus

In a followup to her original iPhone X video shot on Apple’s campus, YouTube vlogger Brooke Peterson beweert dat haar vader is ontslagen door Apple over de incident. Tijdens een 5-minuten durende video, Peterson bezocht haar vader op de campus van Apple en bevatte minder dan een minuut aan beeldmateriaal van de nieuwe iPhone X scherm en de camera-functionaliteit. The video quickly went viral and in her next video Peterson tearfully recounts how the company fired her dad in the aftermath. “At the end of the day, when you work for Apple it doesn’t matter how good of a person you are,” she said. “If you break a rule, they just have no tolerance. They had to do what they had to do.”

While it was pretty easy for Apple to track down Peterson’s dad — who she describes as a “radio frequency engineer” — the company has also redoubled its efforts to root out leakers who do a better job of covering their tracks. In a briefing this summer, members of Apple’s Global Security communications and training team told employees the company has investigators who previously worked for the NSA, FBI, Secret Service and U.S. military constantly monitoring for leaks and tracking them back to the source. The company even coached employees about being careful around family members, with video featuring a worker who said, “I go through a lot of trouble not to talk about what I work on with my wife, with my teenage kids… with my friends, my family.”
